However, fun as they are, Zico’s videos with ILLIT and LE SSERAFIM have been filled with hate comments targeting the 2 girl groups – likely a result of the ongoing HYBE-ADOR controversy,
In particular, the video with ILLIT received numerous comments comparing them to NewJeans – referring to Min Hee-jin’s accusations of ILLIT copying NewJeans
Meanwhile, for the video with LE SSERAFIM, various people described the girl group as “Starbucks” and “backtrack queens”, implying about LE SSERAFIM’s Starbucks controversy and criticisms surrounding the group’s poor live singing.
It was also pointed out that these hate comments also appear on other SNS platforms like Instagram, raising concerns among fans.
Some also put the blame on Min Hee-jin, whose remarks about ILLIT and LE SSERAFIM led to the two groups coming under fire despite making no executive decisions.
